Joseph Efi is quickly establishing himself within the UK electronic music landscape, gaining support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Bonobo, and Jamz Supernova via his unique style of idiosyncratic, soulful electronica that sees him fuse early dubstep and garage influences with hip-hop leaning vocal melodies to create immersive journeys within his productions. The South-East London-based songwriter/producer and Balamii Radio show DJ has recently delivered his latest four-track ‘Candour’ EP on Lowlife, following up recent singles ‘Deluge Fear’ and ‘This Is Lovely’ which feature across the package.

Music is at the heart of Joseph Efi’s existence: his mother was lead-singer of Mancunian electronic duo Lamb and his percussionist father performed and recorded with a number of different artists including Galliano. Joseph has grown up constantly inspired to explore different sounds and styles, and this consistent reach to break new sonic pathways has now become a defining characteristic in his releases.
